There’s a lot in this post.
First you’ll find the usual weekly writing prompts from last week’s in-person workshop. The workshop brings together people across divides of housing, economic position, beliefs, race, and culture. In those gatherings, beauty unfolds week after week. We write, read aloud, and sit with a fellowship with a mixture of creative revelation, tears, and laughter.
Then a series of updates:
About an upcoming printed magazine from the workshop — and how you can be involved.
The Community Needs Hub showcases different real-person giving opportunities. Update: Qiana’s big need was met with your help!
Then an invitation to speak up in partnership with York County Prayer.

📕 Workshop Printed Magazine
We are working on a printed anthology magazine of some of our work from the workshop. All current and former workshop writers are invited to submit multiple pieces of writing. (Plus an option for those who have never attended.)
Once printed, copies can be sold by people facing homelessness. They will keep 100% of the sale price.
Learn about the print project, see suggested prompts, donate to the cover the significant printing costs, and see how you can be involved:
❤️ Community Needs
Visit the Community Needs hub, where you can see practical needs and actionable opportunities from people within the Speak Up community who are facing homelessness and hardship.
NEED MET: You helped Qiana with rent and utilities and she avoided eviction!
Update from Qiana:
I want to send a heartfelt thank you to you for your support and willingness to help us! To those that donated to help my son and I from losing our new home.
Thank you so much to Our New Community. God Bless You All!
