Although there were very many interesting and thought provoking articles, I guess the one that captured my attention the most was Garth's article about why he is homeless. I empathized with the complexities of homelessness and was inspired by Garth's drive to keep his camp clean and organized. Also I appreciated how he listed all the obstacles he faced on a daily basis and it really helped me understand his predicament regarding finding and keeping a job. I am praying for Garth and all those who shared their intriguing stories.
It is hard for me to select an individual piece, so I'm going to focus in on *one of* my favorite writers. (There are more than a few!)
Mark Gansert has published six pieces so far this year, with more to come. His writing is personal, gritty, and full of surprising compassion. I love it when someone new of his goes up.
