Prompt: What were we thinking?
Online dating? Worst invention ever!
I was never good at pick-up lines and don’t recall any grad ones being used on me. However, I do recall in this reflection that the person I married asked me out on a date, by way of a mutual friend...and I was 30 at the time!
Yep! Still married him! What were you thinking?
So relationships and dating are clearly not the area where I feel most confident!
Where I do feel that is in the role of mom, helper, care supporter, and creative!
I confidently create space and time to offer help and support to those who are relationally challenged! LOL! Let’s not confuse confidence with expertise though!
I do feel like an expert of nature! Not in the way that I know much of the science of nature, but more like a BEer of nature.
Into nature I go!
The place and space that is ever changing and never changing at the same time. Tall trees that are strong and bold. Rocking and rippling paths that go on and on. Sneak peeks of sunshine through a canopy of leaves.
Nature goes with the flow! An aspiring concept that I embrace daily. It follows the seasons, rarely complains, and accepts without question.
It is still and steady at times. And also soft and flowy.
Each and every day when I step outside, nature is there to welcome me...
With a warm breeze, a fluffy cloud, a different shade of blue in the sky, soft rain, or scents of seasons. All of which can transform my mood and vibrations, transporting me to times of joyous reflections.
The leaves just fall and don’t worry or hesitate about the journey down. The butterfly cycles and shows its fluttery beauty with no regard of judgment or opinion.
The sun rises each regardless of how bright it is.
The seeds are planted and will sprout in their own time, not concerned about a date or expiration.
I wish I could be more like nature and the great outdoors.
A time to practice, yes maybe so.
More likely a call to experience it as much as I can and aspire to be the tall tree, worry free!
