Write About: Getting Personal
Workshop Writing Prompts, thanks to Pauline, Andrea, Michael, Edward.
From last week’s writing workshop, here is Thomas’s response to the prompt: “Imagine we…”
—
IMAGINE WE
Imagine we never never knew about this workshop.
Would we ever have met one another? Would we have ever set aside a block of time during the week to sit down and write what’s on our minds, hearts and hurts?
Imagine we never had a place to share our writing and stories, our laughter and tears, with perfect strangers or regular attendees, that are kind, thoughtful, and caring, over coffee and donuts.
Imagine we never left the workshop without having learned something, shared something, and a feeling our voices were heard and that it’s going to be a better day.
I don’t know about you, but I never want to imagine that.
