Today's Writing Prompts: Better Together
Thanks to Andrea, Jaclyn, Pauline, Michael, Franklin for contributing great prompts
Instructions:
For each group of writing, select one prompt and write for 10-15 minutes.
Variations are welcome: combine prompts, create newly inspired prompts, make up your own on the fly, etc. Have fun with it.
At the in-person writing workshops, writers are invited to read their pieces aloud to the rest of the group. Applause is guaranteed.
Writing 1
What do you do when you are stressed—good or bad? What do you want to do when you are stressed?
What are your thoughts on animals? Pets, wild animals, zoo animals, etc.
“If I can dream...”
Writing 2
Describe the culture of your home town.
What is family? Write about your family.
If you are to describe your identity, what would it be?
Writing 3
What is a name that someone called you or thought about you that's not true?
Write about “making ends meet.” Or about economic justice.
Write about goals. Did you have any for 2025? Or generally? Give an update. What about for the next month or half of year?
