Prompt: What is Patriotism?
Patriotism—calling itself a feeling of love, attachment, and
loyalty to one’s own country.
But it has no direct definition from the major nor minor sides of the
aisles as I see
And growing up in my household, there was never any belief and
honestly,
As I continued to grow, that non-belief grew with me.
With the groundwork did in local communities,
seeing how more loyalty was
spent on this country instead of the issues that be
right under one’s own noses
right in front one’s very eyes,
Allowing one’s neighbors to suffer,
to mentally,
emotionally,
physically die,
be disgraced,
to weep,
to allow us to be divided and to divide.
Communities collapsed, breaking the backs of
the ones who built the country—then yes, this
so called patriotism will always be death to me.
