Prompt: Have you ever considered nature as a teacher?
Nature is indeed a teacher.
It teaches how to slow down, how to flow and go with the flow.
A hike in nature is the best antidepressant.
Waterfalls if huge and forceful give us a true perspective of our smallness and weakness. They offer the revelation of a force so much more powerful than ourselves but also a force that seems to desire good for us.
The small trickling waterfall which might not be considered a true waterfall by some can still offer the partaker a cleansing perspective. Inviting us to consider something in our life that we need to shed, to be freed from - as we watch clear crisp water gently wash over rocks and flow by carrying our burden downstream. Add to those peaceful moments the sway of wind in the trees and the sweet sound seems to affirm that God is with us and hears out hearts’ cry.
Yes we can easily grow and return to equilibrium by spending time in nature and I daresay we might even become more perspicacious in the process.
