Prompt: If you are to describe your identity, what would it be?
I am a quirky and unique person. Someone who can be unsure and yet, confident at certain things at the same time.
I am a person who is still learning, as I’ve learned to not be afraid of questioning. An annoying person who can get on people’s nerves—even my own damn nerves at times. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve said, “Why am I doing this? I probably SHOULDN’T be doing this... In fact, I’m NOT GOING to do this ...” but my short, Black butt self still does it. I think that’s the stubborn “Only Child Syndrome” identity in me that will never fade away, no matter how old I get. And I can just imagine my mom and Grammy looking down on me from up above, shaking their heads, and God shrugging His shoulders with a smile.
With all of that, my identity is just me. Just being: “P.”
